Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha, Meem. 1 A Revelation from (Allah), Most Gracious, Most Merciful;- 2 A Book whose verses have been distinguished and explained, a lucid discourse for people who understand, 3 proclaiming good news and a warning. Yet most of them turn away and so do not listen. 4 And say: "Our hearts are immured against what you call us to. There is a deafness in our ears, and a veil lies between us and you. So act (your way), we are acting (ours)." 5 (Muhammad), say, "I am a mere mortal like you. I have received a revelation that your Lord is the only One. So be up-right and obedient to Him and seek forgiveness from Him. Woe to the pagans, 6 Those who practise not regular Charity, and who even deny the Hereafter. 7 "The ones who believe and perform good deeds shall have a reward which will never be withheld from them." 8
