Whatever hardship befalls you is the result of your own deeds. God pardons many of your sins. 30 Ye cannot escape in the earth, for beside Allah ye have no protecting friend nor any helper. 31 And of His signs are the ships that run on the sea like landmarks; 32 if He will, He calms the wind so that they remain motionless upon its back, surely, there are signs in this for every thankful, patient (person). 33 or He may cause them to founder because of people's misdeeds, He pardons many of them, 34 Let those who dispute Our signs know that there is no way of escape for them. 35 So whatever you have been given is but a passing enjoyment for this worldly life, but that which is with Allah (Paradise) is better and more lasting for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and put their trust in their Lord (concerning all of their affairs). 36 who eschew grave sins and shameful deeds, and whenever they are angry, forgive; 37 Those who hearken to their Lord, and establish regular Prayer; who (conduct) their affairs by mutual Consultation; who spend out of what We bestow on them for Sustenance; 38 And those who, when great wrong is done to them, defend themselves, 39 and the recompense of evil is evil the like of it; but whoso pardons and puts things right, his wage falls upon God; surely He loves not the evildoers. 40 And whosoever harms after he has been harmed there is no blame upon them. 41 The cause is only against the ones who wrong the people and tyrannize upon the earth without right. Those will have a painful punishment. 42 whoever is patient and forgiving, acts with great courage and resolution. 43
