Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 By this luminous Book. 2 Surely We have made it an Arabic Quran that you may understand. 3 Truly, it is inscribed in the Original Book, in Our keeping; it is sublime and full of wisdom. 4 Shall We then (warn you not and) take away the Reminder (this Quran) from you, because you are a people Musrifun 5 And how many Prophets We did send among the earlier people! 6 Yet never did a Prophet come to them but they mocked him. 7 and so, [in the end,] We destroyed them [even though they were] of greater might than these: and the [very] image of those people of old became a thing of the past. 8 Yet if you were to ask them: “Who created the heavens and the earth?” they will certainly say: “The All-Mighty, the All-Knowing has created them.” 9 He it is who has made the earth a cradle for you, and has provided for you ways [of livelihood] thereon, so that you might follow the right path. 10 And Who sends down water (rain) from the sky in due measure. Then We revive a dead land therewith, and even so you will be brought forth (from the dead), 11 And, (it is He) who has created all the pairs and appointed for you ships and the cattle on which you ride, 12 that you may be seated on their backs and then remember your Lord's blessing when you are seated on them, and say, 'Glory be to Him, who has subjected this to us, and we ourselves were not equal to it; 13 Surely we have to go back to our Lord." 14 Yet they assign to Him some of His own (created) worshipers! Clearly, the human is unthankful. 15
