And recall what time Ibrahim said unto his father and his people: verily I am quit of that which ye worship. 26 "Except Him (i.e. I worship none but Allah Alone) Who did create me, and verily, He will guide me." 27 This is the legacy he left to his descendants so that they may turn (to God). 28 Yea, I have given the good things of this life to these (men) and their fathers, until the Truth has come to them, and a messenger making things clear. 29 And when there came to them the truth they said: This is magic, and surely we are disbelievers in it. 30 Also, they say: "Why is not this Qur'an sent down to some leading man in either of the two (chief) cities?" 31 Is it they who would portion out the Mercy of your Lord? It is We Who portion out between them their livelihood in this world, and We raised some of them above others in ranks, so that some may employ others in their work. But the Mercy (Paradise) of your Lord (O Muhammad SAW) is better than the (wealth of this world) which they amass. 32 Were it not for the fear that all people would become one in disbelief, We would have made for the disbelievers in the Beneficent God ceilings out of silver and ladders by which they would climb up, 33 And for their houses - doors and couches [of silver] upon which to recline 34 And also adornments of gold. But all this were nothing but conveniences of the present life: The Hereafter, in the sight of thy Lord is for the Righteous. 35
