And whoever is averse to the Remembrance of the Most Gracious, We appoint a devil upon him, who stays with him. 36 And verily, they (Satans / devils) hinder them from the Path (of Allah), but they think that they are guided aright! 37 Until when he comes to Us, he says: O would that between me and you there were the distance of the East and the West; so evil is the associate! 38 Because of the harm you did, it would be of no benefit to you today, you are partners in the punishment. 39 What, will you make the deaf hear, or guide the blind and he who is in clear error? 40 Even if We take you away from the world, We shall surely take vengeance on them 41 or We shall show you what We have promised them; for surely We have complete power over them. 42 Therefore, hold fast to that which is revealed to you, indeed, you are on the Straight Path. 43 And indeed, it is a remembrance for you and your people, and you [all] are going to be questioned. 44 And question thou our messengers whom We sent before thee; did We appoint any deities other than (Allah) Most Gracious, to be worshipped? 45
