And whosoever blindeth himself to the admonition of the Compassionate, We assign unto him a satan, and he becometh his companion. 36 And indeed, the devils avert them from the way [of guidance] while they think that they are [rightly] guided 37 But when he comes to Us, he will say (to his satan): “Would that there had been between me and you the distance as between the East and the West. How evil a companion you were!” 38 And since you were unjust, it will not profit you this day that you are sharers in the chastisement. 39 Can you [Prophet] make the deaf hear? Or guide either the blind or those who are in manifest error? 40 So if We take you away, We shall then indeed take revenge from them. 41 Or We shall show thee that (accomplished) which We have promised them: for verily We shall prevail over them. 42 So hold fast to what has been revealed to you. Surely you are on the Straight Way. 43 And verily it is an admonition unto thee and thy people; and presently ye will be questioned. 44 Ask all Our Messengers whom We sent before you whether We had appointed any deities beside the Merciful One to be worshipped. 45
