And whosoever blindeth himself to the admonition of the Compassionate, We assign unto him a satan, and he becometh his companion. 36 Satan will prevent them from the right path while they think that they have the right guidance. 37 Until when he comes to Us, he says: O would that between me and you there were the distance of the East and the West; so evil is the associate! 38 But nothing will avail you on that day, for you were unjust, and you will be partners in the punishment. 39 Can you [Prophet] make the deaf hear? Or guide either the blind or those who are in manifest error? 40 But whether We do [or do not] take thee away [ere thy message prevails] - verily, We shall inflict Our retribution on them; 41 Or (if) We show thee that wherewith We threaten them; for lo! We have complete command of them. 42 So hold thou fast to the Revelation sent down to thee; verily thou art on a Straight Way. 43 The (Qur'an) is indeed the message, for thee and for thy people; and soon shall ye (all) be brought to account. 44 Inquire of apostles We had sent before you if We appointed gods to be worshipped other than Ar-Rahman. 45
