۞ And when the example of the son of Maryam is given, your people laugh at it! 57 And they said, "Are your gods better, or is he?" They did not present the comparison except for [mere] argument. But, [in fact], they are a people prone to dispute. 58 Jesus was not but a servant upon whom We bestowed favor, and We made him an example for the Children of Israel. 59 And had We willed We could have appointed angels born of you in the earth to succeed each other. 60 It is knowledge of the Hour; doubt not concerning it, and follow me. This is a straight path. 61 do not let Satan bar your way. He is truly your sworn enemy. 62 And when Isa came with clear arguments he said: I have come to you indeed with wisdom, and that I may make clear to you part of what you differ in; so be careful of (your duty to) Allah and obey me: 63 "Verily, God is my Sustainer as well as your Sustainer; so worship [none but] Him: this [alone] is a straight way!" 64 But certain groups created differences among themselves. Woe to the unjust. They will face a painful torment. 65 Do they only wait for the Hour - that it should come on them all of a sudden, while they perceive not? 66 The friends shall on that day be enemies one to another, except those who guard (against evil). 67
