We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 and from the Pharaoh. He was the chief of the transgressors. 31 We gave preference to the Israelites over the other people with Our knowledge 32 And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial. 33 Verily, these (Quraish) people are saying: 34 “This is our first and only death, and we shall never be raised again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if what you say is true' 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba' and those who came before them? We destroyed them, because they were guilty of sin. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in play. 38 We created them in nothing else except the truth. But most do not know. 39 Indeed the Day of Decision is the appointment for all of them. 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to his friend, and when none shall be succoured 41 except those on whom Allah will have mercy. He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 42
