Thus did We deliver the Children of Israel from the humiliating chastisement, 30 From Firon; surely he was haughty, (and) one of the extravagant. 31 And We chose them, purposely, above (all) creatures. 32 And We gave them signs in which lay clear favours. 33 Yet these say: 34 "There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected. 35 “Therefore bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful!” 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, out of play. 38 We did not create them except in Truth. But most of them do not know. 39 Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,- 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 save those upon whom God will have bestowed His grace and mercy: for, verily, He alone is almighty, a dispenser of grace. 42
