We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 at the hands of Pharaoh: he was a tyrant who exceeded all bounds. 31 And We chose them, purposely, above (all) creatures. 32 and bestowed upon them the Signs wherein lay an evident test for them. 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those afore them? We destroyed them; verily they were culprits. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We created them not save with a purpose but most of them know not. 39 Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 Except such as receive Allah's Mercy: for He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 42
