So We saved the children of Israel from degrading suffering 30 from Pharaoh; surely he was a high One, of the prodigals; 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 and bestowed upon them the Signs wherein lay an evident test for them. 33 Verily these! they say: 34 'There is nothing except the first death, we shall never be revived. 35 Bring back to us our fathers if you are truthful.” 36 Are these better or the people of Tubba and those who went before them? We destroyed them for they were a criminal people. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for Our own amusement. 38 We created them in nothing else except the truth. But most do not know. 39 Assuredly the Day of Decision is the term for all of them, 40 The Day when Maulan (a near relative) cannot avail Maulan (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 Save those on whom Allah will have mercy. Verily He! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
