The food of the Zakkum tree 43 Is the food of the sinful 44 Like molten copper; it churns in their bellies. 45 Like the boiling of hot water. 46 'Seize him and drag him into the center of Hell. 47 Then pour above his head of the torment of the boiling water: 48 (Saying): 'Taste, surely you are the mighty and noble! 49 “Indeed this is what you used to doubt about.” 50 Verily the God-fearing will be in a place secure 51 amidst gardens and fountains, 52 They will be dressed in fine silk and embroidery, facing one another (on thrones). 53 Just like that. We shall pair them with companions with large black eyes. 54 In that [paradise] they shall [rightfully] claim all the fruits [of their past deeds,] resting in security; 55 They will not taste death therein, save the first death. God will save them from the torment of Hell 56 A bounty from thy Lord. That is the supreme triumph. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 So wait thou and watch; for they (too) are waiting. 59
True are the words of God the Almighty.
