Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Verily, the tree of Zaqqum, 43 The food of sinners. 44 It is like pitch. It will fume in the belly 45 like water. 46 (And it will be said): Take him and drag him to the midst of hell, 47 Then pour unto their heads the boiling water to torment them". 48 Taste it - thou who [on earth] hast considered thyself so mighty, so noble! 49 This is the very thing which you [deniers of the truth] were wont to call in question!" 50 Surely those who guard (against evil) are in a secure place, 51 amid gardens and springs, 52 Wearing [garments of] fine silk and brocade, facing each other. 53 So; and We shall join them to fair women with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes. 54 therein calling for every fruit, secure. 55 Nor will they there taste Death, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire,- 56 A bounty from thy Lord. That is the supreme triumph. 57 Certainly, We have made this (Quran) easy in your tongue, in order that they may remember. 58 Wait thou then; verily they also are waiting. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
