Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
The food of the Zakkum tree 43 shall be food for the sinners: 44 Like molten copper boiling in the belly 45 Like the boiling of hot water. 46 “Seize him, and forcibly drag him right to the blazing fire.” 47 Then pour above his head of the torment of the boiling water: 48 (Saying): Taste! Lo! thou wast forsooth the mighty, the noble! 49 “Indeed this is what you used to doubt about.” 50 [As against this] verily, the God-conscious will find themselves in a state secure, 51 Among Gardens and Springs; 52 Attired in silk and silk embroidery, facing one another. 53 Thus (shall it be), and We will wed them with Houris pure, beautiful ones. 54 They will call therein for every [kind of] fruit - safe and secure. 55 They will not taste death again in it, except their former death; and Allah has saved them from the punishment of fire. 56 By the beneficence of your Lord. This will be the great success. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 Wait, then; they too are waiting. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
