The tree of Zaqqum 43 Is the food of the sinners. 44 Like molten copper; it churns in their bellies. 45 As does boiling water. 46 [And the word will be spoken:] "Seize him, [O you forces of hell,] and drag him into the midst of the blazing fire: 47 Then pour the punishment of boiling water over his head, 48 (Saying): Taste! Lo! thou wast forsooth the mighty, the noble! 49 This is the very thing which you [deniers of the truth] were wont to call in question!" 50 Verily the God-fearing will be in a place secure 51 among gardens and springs, 52 Dressed in brocade and shot silk, facing one another. 53 Thus shall it be. And We shall pair them with companions pure, most beautiful of eye. 54 While resting in security, they shall call for all kinds of fruit. 55 They will not taste death therein, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the torment of the Flaming Fire. 56 as a bounty from your Lord. That will be the mighty triumph. 57 And We have made (this Scripture) easy in thy language only that they may heed. 58 So wait thou [for what the future will bring]: behold, they, too, are waiting. 59
