Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Indeed, the tree of zaqqum 43 shall be the food of the guilty sinners. 44 like the dregs of oil, it shall boil in their bellies, 45 like the boiling of burning despair. 46 “Seize him and drag him to the middle of the Blazing Fire, 47 Then pour upon his head the torment of boiling water. 48 Taste this; you who considered yourself the mighty, the honourable! 49 Surely this is what you disputed about. 50 [As against this] verily, the God-conscious will find themselves in a state secure, 51 Among Gardens and Springs; 52 Attired in silk and silk embroidery, facing one another. 53 Just like that. We shall pair them with companions with large black eyes. 54 In it they will ask for all kinds of fruit, with safety. 55 They will not experience any death other than that which they have already been through. 56 as an act of grace. That will be the supreme triumph. 57 And We have made this Qur’an easy in your language, for them to understand. 58 So be on the watch; they too are on the watch. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
