The tree of al-Zaqqum 43 Is food for the sinful. 44 Like murky oil, it boils within bellies 45 as boiling water bubbles. 46 "Seize him and drag him into the depths of Hell," (it will be said), 47 then pour boiling water over his head as chastisement. 48 "Taste thou (this)! Truly wast thou mighty, full of honour! 49 “Indeed this is what you used to doubt about.” 50 The pious ones will be in a secure place 51 amidst gardens and fountains, 52 Wearing [garments of] fine silk and brocade, facing each other. 53 So it is; and We have wedded them to maidens with gorgeous eyes. 54 In it they will ask for all kinds of fruit, with safety. 55 Nor will they there taste Death, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire,- 56 A bounty from thy Lord. That is the supreme triumph. 57 Now We have made it easy by thy tongue, that haply they may remember. 58 Therefore wait; surely they are waiting. 59
