Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 The sending down of the Book is from God, the All-mighty, the All-wise. 2 There are signs in the heavens and the earth for those who believe: 3 And in your own nature, and in [that of] all the animals which He scatters [over the earth] there are messages for people who are endowed with inner certainty. 4 and in the alternation of night and day, and the provision God sends down from heaven, and therewith revives the earth after it is dead, and the turning about of the winds, there are signs for a people who understand. 5 These are the revelations of God which We recite to you for a genuine purpose. In what statements other than God's and His revelations will they then believe? 6 Woe unto every liar, sinner! 7 Who hears the revelations of God being recited to him, yet persists in denying with arrogance as though he had never heard them! So warn him of a painful punishment. 8 And when he comes to know of any of Our communications, he takes it for a jest; these it is that shall have abasing chastisement. 9 Before them is Hell; naught will avail them of that which they earned, nor those whom they took for patrons beside Allah. Theirs shall be a torment mighty. 10 This [Qur'an] is guidance. And those who have disbelieved in the verses of their Lord will have a painful punishment of foul nature. 11
