Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Ha-Mim. 1 The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 2 Behold, for those who believe there are (myriad) Signs in the heavens and the earth 3 In your creation and in that of the beasts living on earth there is evidence of the Truth for the people who have strong faith. 4 And in the alternation of night and day, and in the means of sustenance – water – which Allah sends down from the sky whereby He gave life to the earth after its death, and in the movement of the winds – (in all these) are signs for people of intellect. 5 These messages of God do We convey unto thee, setting forth the truth. In what other tiding, if not in God's messages, will they, then, believe? 6 Woe to every sinful liar, 7 Who hears the communications of Allah recited to him, then persists proudly as though he had not heard them; so announce to him a painful punishment. 8 And when he comes to know about any of the verses, he mocks at it; for them is a disgraceful punishment. 9 Before them is Hell, and what they had earned will not avail them at all nor what they had taken besides Allah as allies. And they will have a great punishment. 10 This [Qur'an] is guidance. And those who have disbelieved in the verses of their Lord will have a painful punishment of foul nature. 11
