Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
HA MIM. 1 The sending down of the Book is from Allah, the Almighty, the Wise. 2 Verily in the heavens and the earth, are Signs for those who believe. 3 And in your (own) creation and in what He spreads abroad of animals there are signs for a people that are sure; 4 And in the alternation of night and day and that which Allah sendeth down of provision from the heaven and thereby quickeneth the earth after the death thereof and the turning about of the winds, are signs unto a people who reflect. 5 Such are the verses of Allah. We recite them to you in truth. So in what speech, after Allah and His signs, will they believe? 6 Alas the woe for every dissembling sinner 7 who hears Allah's Signs being rehearsed to him, and yet persists in his pride, as though he had not heard it. Announce to him, then, the tidings of a grievous chastisement. 8 As for he who knows something of Our verses and then mocks them for those there is a humiliating punishment. 9 Before them is Hell, and what they had earned will not avail them at all nor what they had taken besides Allah as allies. And they will have a great punishment. 10 [To pay heed to God's signs and messages:] this is [the meaning of] guidance; on the other hand, for those who are bent on denying the truth of their Sustainer's messages there is grievous suffering in store as an outcome of [their] vileness. 11
