Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Ha-Mim. 1 The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise. 2 Surely in the heavens and earth there are signs for the believers; 3 And in the creation of yourselves and what He disperses of moving creatures are signs for people who are certain [in faith]. 4 And in the succession of night and day, and in the means of subsistence which God sends down from the skies, giving life thereby to the earth after it had been lifeless, and in the change of the winds: [in all this] there are messages for people who use their reason. 5 These are the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, revelations, etc.) of Allah, which We recite to you (O Muhammad SAW) with truth. Then in which speech after Allah and His Ayat will they believe? 6 Woe unto every liar, sinner! 7 He hears the Signs of Allah rehearsed to him, yet is obstinate and lofty, as if he had not heard them: then announce to him a Penalty Grievous! 8 As for he who knows something of Our verses and then mocks them for those there is a humiliating punishment. 9 In front of them there is Hell, and that which they have earned will be of no profit to them, nor (will be of any profit to them) those whom they have taken as Auliya' (protectors, helpers, etc.) besides Allah. And theirs will be a great torment. 10 This is guidance; for those who disbelieve in the verses of their Lord the anger of the painful punishment awaits them. 11
