Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Ha Mim. 1 The revelation of the Scripture is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 2 Indeed, within the heavens and earth are signs for the believers. 3 and in your creation, and in the crawling things that He has scattered far and near, there are signs for a nation whose belief is certain, 4 and in the succession of night and day, and in the means of subsistence which God sends down from the skies, giving life thereby to the earth after it had been lifeless, and in the circulation of the winds: [in all this] there are signs for people who use their reason. 5 These are the revelations of Allah which We rehearse unto thee with truth: in what discourse then, after Allah and His revelations, will they believe? 6 Woe unto every sinful self-deceiver 7 who hears the signs of God being recited to him, then perseveres in waxing proud, as if he has not heard them; so give him the good tidings of a painful chastisement. 8 for when he does become aware of any of Our messages, he makes them a target of his mockery! For all such there is shameful suffering in store. 9 There is Hell before them; and whatever they have earned will not avail them in the least, nor those whom they take as friends apart from God. There is great chastisement for them. 10 This is (true) Guidance and for those who reject the Signs of their Lord, is a grievous Penalty of abomination. 11
