۞ God is He who has subjected to you the sea, that the ships may run on it at His commandment, and that you may seek His bounty; haply so you will be thankful. 12 He has subjected to you all that is in the heavens and the earth, all being from Him. Verily there are Signs in this for those who reflect. 13 Say unto those who believe, that they forgive those who do not look for the days of God, that He may recompense a people for that they have been earning. 14 Whoever does good, it is for his own soul, and whoever does evil, it is against himself; then you shall be brought back to your-- Lord. 15 We did aforetime grant to the Children of Israel the Book the Power of Command, and Prophethood; We gave them, for Sustenance, things good and pure; and We favoured them above the nations. 16 And We gave them clear proofs in the command; so they did not differ except after the knowledge had come to them – due to jealousy among themselves; indeed your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning the matter in which they differ. 17 And now have We set thee (O Muhammad) on a clear road of (Our) commandment; so follow it, and follow not the whims of those who know not. 18 They will never be sufficient (protection) for you in place of God. The unjust are each other's friends, but God is the guardian of the pious ones. 19 This [revelation, then,] is a means of insight for mankind, and a guidance and grace unto people who are endowed with inner certainty. 20 Or do those who earn evil deeds think that We shall hold them equal with those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, in their present life and after their death? Worst is the judgement that they make. 21
