Victory (Al-Fatt-h)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Verily We have granted thee a manifest Victory: 1 That Allah may forgive your community their past faults and those to follow and complete His favor to you and keep you on a right way, 2 and [show] that God will succour thee with [His] mighty succour. 3 It is He who sent down the Shechina (tranquillity) into the hearts of the believers, that they might add faith to their faith -- to God belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth; God is All-knowing, All-wise -- 4 and that He may admit the believers, men and women alike, into gardens underneath which rivers flow, therein to dwell forever, and acquit them of their evil deeds; that is in God's sight a mighty triumph; 5 And that He may punish the Hypocrites, men and women, and the Polytheists men and women, who imagine an evil opinion of Allah. On them is a round of Evil: the Wrath of Allah is on them: He has cursed them and got Hell ready for them: and evil is it for a destination. 6 For to Allah belong the Forces of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Full of Wisdom. 7 We have sent you as witness (of the truth) and harbinger of good news and a warner, 8 That ye (mankind) may believe in Allah and His messenger, and may honour Him, and may revere Him, and may glorify Him at early dawn and at the close of day. 9 Those who swear fealty to thee swear fealty in truth to God; God's hand is over their hands. Then whosoever breaks his oath breaks it but to his own hurt; and whoso fulfils his covenant made with God, God will give him a mighty wage. 10
