The Wall (Al-Hujuraat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Believers, do not advance before Allah and His Messenger, and fear Allah. Verily Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 1 O you who have believed, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet or be loud to him in speech like the loudness of some of you to others, lest your deeds become worthless while you perceive not. 2 The ones who lower their voices in the presence of the Messenger of Allah are those whose hearts Allah has tested for God-fearing. Theirs shall be forgiveness and a great reward. 3 (As for) those who call out to you from behind the private chambers, surely most of them do not understand. 4 If they had waited for you to come out it would have been better for them. But God is forgiving and kind. 5 O you who believe! If a rebellious evil person comes to you with a news, verify it, lest you harm people in ignorance, and afterwards you become regretful to what you have done. 6 And know that verily among you is the apostle of Allah. Were he to obey you in many affairs, ye would surely be in trouble, but Allah hath endeared belief to you and hath made it fair-seeming in your hearts, and hath rendered detestable unto you infidelity and wickedness and disobedience. These! they are the men of rectitude. 7 by Allah's favour and bounty. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. 8 If two groups of believers come to fight one another, promote peace between them. Then if one of them turns aggressive against the other, fight against the aggressive party till it returns to God's authority. If it does so, make peace among them equitably and be impartial. Verily God loves those who are just. 9 Believers are each other's brothers. Restore peace among your brothers. Have fear of God so that perhaps you will receive mercy. 10
