Q (Qaaf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the Qur'an glorious, We have sent thee as a warner. 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return." 3 We already know how much of them the earth takes away: With Us is a record guarding (the full account). 4 But they deny the Truth when it comes to them: so they are in a confused state. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them - how We have built it and made it beautiful and free of all faults? 6 (Have they not seen) how We have spread out the earth, placed on it firm mountains and have made all kinds of flourishing pairs of plants grow? 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 And tall date-palms, with ranged clusters; 10 a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. 11 The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud, 12 And (the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 So did We tire by creating the first time? Rather they doubt being created again. 15
