Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaaf. By the Glorious Koran! 1 In fact, it seems odd (to the pagans) that a warner from their own people has come to them. The disbelievers have said, "It is very strange 2 that after we die and become dust, we shall be brought back to life again. This seems far from reality". 3 We know all that the earth takes away of them, and a Book of Records is with Us. 4 But no! They called the truth a lie when it came to them; so they are in a confused state. 5 Have they not looked at the sky above them, how We have fashioned and adorned it, and it has no flaw? 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 as a lesson and a reminder to every penitent worshiper. 8 And We send down from the skies water rich in blessings, and cause thereby gardens to grow, and fields of grain, 9 and tall palm-trees with clusters of dates 10 As sustenance for (Allah's) Servants;- and We give (new) life therewith to land that is dead: Thus will be the Resurrection. 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud 12 The 'Ad, Pharaoh, the brethren of Lut, 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the people of Tubba; each one belied the apostles, wherefore fulfilled was My judgement. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
