Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Qaaf. By the Glorious Koran! 1 Nay, they wonder that there has come to them a warner (Muhammad SAW) from among themselves. So the disbelievers say: "This is a strange thing! 2 to come back to life after we have died and become dust? That is most improbable!" 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record. 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case. 5 Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and We cause every delightful thing to grow in it 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest 9 And tall date-palms, with ranged clusters; 10 as a provision for human beings; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life. Such shall be the Resurrection. 11 In the past Noah's people, and the people of Rass and Thamud gave the lie (to Messengers), 12 and Aad, Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot, 13 the men of the Thicket, the people of Tubba'. Every one cried lies to the Messengers, and My threat came true. 14 Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! 15
