We created man -- We know the promptings of his soul, and are closer to him than his jugular vein -- 16 Behold! when the two receivers receive - one on the right hand and one on the left a sitter. 17 He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready. 18 And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun. 19 and [in the end] the trumpet [of resurrection] will be blown: that will be the Day of a warning fulfilled. 20 Each soul will come with a driver and a witness. 21 You were heedless of this. Now We have removed your veil and so your vision today is sharp. 22 His (angelic) companion will say, "(Lord), the record of his deeds is with me and is all ready". 23 Cast ye twain into Hell every person rebellious, contumacious. 24 Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment." 26 ۞ His companion will say: Our Lord! I did not lead him into inordinacy but he himself was in a great error. 27 He will say, “Do not dispute before Me – I had already warned you of the punishment.” 28 No word is to be exchanged in My presence. I am not unjust to My servants". 29
