It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. 16 Behold! when the two receivers receive - one on the right hand and one on the left a sitter. 17 He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 And the trumpet blast will sound: It would be the Day of Doom. 20 And every soul shall come, and with it a driver and a witness. 21 (It will be said): 'Of this you have been heedless. Therefore, we have now removed your covering. Today your sight is sharp' 22 His (angelic) companion will say, "(Lord), the record of his deeds is with me and is all ready". 23 (The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter (of Allah)!- 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 who has set up another deity beside God: cast him, then, cast him into suffering severe!" 26 ۞ His companion will say: Our Lord! I did not lead him into inordinacy but he himself was in a great error. 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 The Word is not changed with Me; I wrong not My servants.' 29
