Indeed, We created the human. We know the whisperings of his soul, and are closer to him than the jugular vein. 16 When the two receiving angels receive from him, one seated on the right and one on the left. 17 Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it). 18 And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid. 19 And the trumpet blast will sound: It would be the Day of Doom. 20 And every soul shall come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 (It will be said to the sinners): "Indeed you were heedless of this, now We have removed your covering, and sharp is your sight this Day!" 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 It will be said to the angels, “Both of you fling every excessive ungrateful, stubborn person into hell.” 24 "Every obstructor of good, transgressor, and the sceptic, 25 “The one who appointed another God along with Allah – so both of you fling him into the severe punishment.” 26 ۞ His comrade saith: Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he was (himself) far gone in error. 27 [Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning. 28 "The Word changes not before Me, and I do not the least injustice to My Servants." 29
