We indeed created man; and We know what his soul whispers within him, and We are nearer to him than the jugular vein. 16 When the two angels meet together, sitting one on the right, and one on the left, 17 He utters not a word, but there is a vigilant watcher at hand. 18 The trance of death will come revealing the truth: that is what you were trying to escape. 19 The trumpet will be sounded. This is the Day [you were] warned of. 20 Each soul will come with a driver and a witness. 21 You were heedless of this. Now We have removed your veil and so your vision today is sharp. 22 And one part of him will say: "This it is that has been ever-present with me!" 23 (The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter (of Allah)!- 24 “The one who excessively prevented from virtue, the transgressor, the doubtful.” 25 "Who set up another ilah (god) with Allah, then (both of you) cast him in the severe torment." 26 ۞ and his associate [Satan] will say, "Lord, I did not make him transgress, he had already gone far astray himself." 27 He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning. 28 The Sentence that comes from Me cannot be changed, and I am not unjust (to the least) to the slaves." 29
