And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein 16 When the two receivers receive, sitting on the right and on the left. 17 whatever phrase he utters, an observer is present. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 And the trumpet blast will sound: It would be the Day of Doom. 20 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 [It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp." 22 And his companion (angel) will say: "Here is (this Record) ready with me!" 23 Cast ye twain into Hell every person rebellious, contumacious. 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 Who sets up another god with Allah, so do cast him into severe chastisement. 26 ۞ and his associate [Satan] will say, "Lord, I did not make him transgress, he had already gone far astray himself." 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 The Sentence that comes from Me cannot be changed, and I am not unjust (to the least) to the slaves." 29
