It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. 16 and the two recording angels are recording, sitting on the right and the left: 17 not even a word can he utter but there is a watcher with him, ever-present. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown: that will be the Day whereof Warning (had been given). 20 And every soul shall come, and with it a driver and a witness. 21 (It will be said): 'Of this you have been heedless. Therefore, we have now removed your covering. Today your sight is sharp' 22 And his accompanying angel said, “This is the record of your deeds, available with me.” 23 (It will be said): 'Indeed, cast into Gehenna (Hell) every deviating unbeliever, 24 forbidder of good, transgressor and doubter, 25 and has set up another deity with Allah. Hurl him into the grievous torment.” 26 ۞ His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error." 27 God will say, "Do not quarrel in My presence. I gave you the warning beforehand 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
