And indeed We have created man, and We know what his ownself whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge). 16 Since the two scribes are sitting on each of his shoulders, he does not utter a word which is not recorded immediately by the watchful scribes. 17 not even a word can he utter but there is a watcher with him, ever-present. 18 And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid. 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown: that will be the Day whereof Warning (had been given). 20 And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 Assuredly thou wast in neglect thereof; now We have removed from off thee thy veil, so thy sight Today is piercing. 22 His companion attendant will say, "I have here his record ready." 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 "Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 Who had set up another god with God. Cast him into severe torment." 26 ۞ And his comrade shall say, 'Our Lord, I made him not insolent, but he was in far error.' 27 [Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning. 28 and My word shall not be changed, nor am I unjust to My servants." 29
