Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I swear by the wind that scatters far and wide, 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 then the easy runners (the ships); 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
