Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 perverted in his views thereon is he who would deceive himself! 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in the heaven lies your sustenance, and the promise you are given. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
