Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Perish will those who just guess and speculate, 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 And in your own selves; so can you not perceive? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. 23
