Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth). 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
