Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 and the partitioners, 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Lo! those who keep from evil will dwell amid gardens and watersprings, 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 In heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
