Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water] 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 They but destroy themselves, they who are given to guessing at what they cannot ascertain 10 Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (i.e. burnt) over the Fire! 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And (also) in yourselves. Can ye then not see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
