Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 then the easy runners (the ships); 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They slept very little during the night 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
