Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who scatter by dispersing, 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 then the easy runners (the ships); 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 and perverted therefrom are some. 9 Woe to the liars 10 Those who have forgotten in a state of intoxication. 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 And (also) in yourselves. Can ye then not see? 21 In heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur'an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
