Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 that what you are promised is certainly true 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 By the beautiful heavens, 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
