Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the winds that scatter the dust far and wide, 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
