Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham? - 24 They entered to him and said: 'Peace' And he replied: 'Peace, you are people unknown to me' 25 Then he went back to his family and brought a fat roasted calf 26 And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat? 27 And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy. 28 But his wife came forward (laughing) aloud: she smote her forehead and said: "A barren old woman!" 29 They said: "Thus said your Lord. He is indeed all-wise and all-knowing." 30 ۞ Said [Abraham]: "And what [else] may you have in view, O you [heavenly] messengers?" 31 They said: Lo! we are sent unto a guilty folk, 32 to loose upon them stones of clay 33 "Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds." 34 So We brought out from therein the believers. 35 And We found not therein more than one house of the Muslims. 36 We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. 37 AND IN [the story of Pharaoh and] Moses, too, [We left the same message: for] when We sent him unto Pharaoh with [Our] manifest authority, 38 In response, he turned away along with his army and said, “He is a magician or a madman.” 39 So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy. 40 And in 'Ad (there is also a sign) when We sent against them the barren wind; 41 that left nothing it came upon, except that it was ashes. 42 And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while. 43 But they rebelled against their Lord's decree, and so the thunderbolt overtook them even while they gazed; 44 Then they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. 45 So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed. 46
