Hizb 53

Have you heard the story of Abraham's honored guests? 24 When they came in unto him and said: peace! he said: peace! people unknown. 25 Then he turned away privately unto his household, and brought a calf fatted. 26 And placed it before them, (saying): "Will you not eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). 28 So hearing his wife went forth shouting. She struck her face and exclaimed: “A barren old woman am I.” 29 They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing." 30 ۞ Abraham asked, "What is your errand, O messengers?" 31 They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah); 32 That we may send upon them stones of clay, 33 Marked, from before thy Lord, for the extravagant. 34 So We evacuated everyone who was a believer there, 35 But did not find more than a single family of believers. 36 and left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 There is another sign in Moses: We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 but he turned his back with his Assembly, saying: 'He is (either) a sorcerer or a mad man' 39 Then We seized him and his army and cast them all into the sea: he himself [Pharaoh] was to blame. 40 And also in Ad, when We loosed against them the withering wind 41 It spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust. 42 And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." 43 But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sa'iqah overtook them while they were looking. 44 they could neither stand up straight, nor were they helped. 45 And before them, We destroyed the people of Nooh; they were indeed a sinning nation. 46

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
