Has the story of Abraham's honoured guests come to you? 24 When they came to him and said, “Peace”; he answered, “Peace”; and thought, “These people are not familiar.” 25 Then he went to his home – so he brought a healthy calf. 26 And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?" 27 He began to feel afraid. They said, "Do not be afraid," and then gave him the glad news of the birth of a knowledgeable son. 28 (Sarah) his wife came with an exclamation and clasped her face, and said: 'Surely, I am a barren old woman' 29 They said, 'So says thy Lord; He is the All-wise, the All-knowing.' 30 ۞ (Abraham) said: "And what, O ye Messengers, is your errand (now)?" 31 They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people 32 That we may send down upon them stone of clay, 33 Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors." 34 So We brought out from therein the believers. 35 But We found not there any household of the Muslims except one [i.e. Lout (Lot) and his two daughters]. 36 And so We left therein a message for those who fear the grievous suffering [which awaits all evildoers]. 37 There is another sign in Moses: We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 The Pharaoh and his forces turned away from him, saying, "He is either a magician or an insane person". 39 So We seized him and his hosts, and cast them into the sea. He became an object of much blame. 40 And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind: 41 It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. 42 And in Thamood it was said to them: 'Take your enjoyment for awhile' 43 In response they rebelled against their Lord’s command, so the thunderbolt seized them whilst they were watching. 44 They were unable to stand up, nor were they helped. 45 And the people of Noah before; surely they were an ungodly people. 46
