And heaven – We made it with Our Own Power and We have the Power to do so. 47 We have spread out the earth, how well We have spread it out, 48 And in everything have We created opposites, so that you might bear in mind [that God alone is One]. 49 Flee therefore unto Allah; verily I am unto you from Him a warner manifest. 50 And set not any other god along with Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from Him. 51 Likewise, there came not an apostle unto those before them but they said: a magician or a madman! 52 Is this the legacy they have passed down from one to the other? In fact, they are a rebellious people. 53 Turn, then, away from them, and thou shalt incur no blame; 54 Keep on reminding them. This benefits the believers. 55 And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. 56 I do not desire provision from them, nor do I desire that they should feed Me. 57 for, verily, God Himself is the Provider of all sustenance, the Lord of all might, the Eternal! 58 And verily, they who are bent on doing evil shall have their share [of evil] like unto the share of their fellows [of old]: so let them not ask Me to hasten [their doom]! 59 Woe to the disbelievers when the day with which they have been threatened comes! 60
